About me
Hi! I am an Ottawa-based multimedia reporter attending Carleton University's School of Journalism. Through my school work, internships, and freelancing, I have developed a passion for storytelling that combines diving deeper into overlooked issues, providing context, fair reporting, and highlighting inspiring individuals who make a difference. In addition to writing, I also possess valuable audio/video production and digital photography skills.
I wanted to become a journalist to not only use critical thinking to uncover missing angles or narratives of current events, but to also ensure that people can trust me with telling their stories. Seeing recent trends in declining media trust has allowed me to reflect on what a journalist should be and be a trusted source that reflects issues in a balanced manner.
My reporting has spanned a variety of topics, including current affairs, municipal politics, business trends, technology, arts and culture, music, and more.
As a budding journalist, I am eager to get involved in any opportunities that allow me to enhance my multimedia reporting skills and continue sharing impactful stories. Have a story tip or want to connect? Feel free to reach out!
